To meet the needs of their growing business, Fred chose ConnectWise coupled with Microsoft DynamicsGP and Massey Consulting’s DynamicsConnect. While ConnectWise and MS DynamicsGP were each strong solutions, the company recognized that re-keying entries between the two would cause unmanageable delays, inaccuracies, and inefficiencies.

Without the kind of efficient integration provided by Massey’s mConnect, says Fred IT Group Chief Financial Officer Tony Johnston, his department couldn’t function. “It isn’t feasible to think about moving forward without integration,” says Tony. “I don’t even want to contemplate that. I guess we’d have had to resort to writing something ourselves, but doing it as quickly or thoroughly would have been – questionable.”

Fred IT Group needed to update their software solutions as they outgrew their old ones. Among the necessary qualifications for these new solutions—that their Professional Services Automation solution must be integrated with their back-office accounting solution—Microsoft DynamicsGP.


“As that system got a bit tired and old and we needed to make a decision about what to do with it. We looked at different options and chose ConnectWise. We’ve gone the whole ConnectWise solution,” says Tony. “We’d had some integration between the old system and Great Plains, and we knew we wanted to have ConnectWise fully integrated into Microsoft DynamicsGP.” And that’s when Fred sought out and selected Massey Consulting Group and Massey’s DynamicsConnect integration middleware product.
